At the meeting of the old and new districts, industrial heritage and waterfront ecology become the basis of an urban renewal framework. “One Core, One Chain and One Belt” connects a branching green-axis retail park, a creative business district, an industrial heritage park and residential communities into an interdependent network.
The plan follows terrain falling from northwest to southeast, bringing the riverside leisure belt into contact with denser commercial and office uses. Ecological repair, adaptive reuse and shared public facilities work together across the former production grounds. Industrial memory is retained as an active part of contemporary city life, while the connected landscape provides a common structure for otherwise different programmes.
