Like a band of wandering plateau dancers, the cultural centre is imagined moving in rhythm through the Southwest’s interwoven mountains and waters. The same image recalls early cultivators and warriors offering prayers as the land seems briefly to awaken with spirit. Movement, ritual and collective memory provide the project’s poetic frame, placing architecture within a moment of encounter between people and landscape.
