Dushan Office Building Complex uses courtyards as its basic spatial units, arranging administrative office groups of varying heights along a shared axis. Entrance plazas, steps and water features establish a clear sequence of arrival. Each group retains a degree of independence within the overall layout, while passages and open spaces connect the buildings.

Taller linear office blocks meet lower volumes to enclose courtyards of different scales. Turns, setbacks and roof openings in the lower buildings bring daylight into their depth. Courtyard trees and outdoor spaces form a natural setting for office life. Moving from the open entrance plaza through passages between the groups to the inner courts, changes in scale and enclosure create a transition from the city streets to the working environment.

Repeated vertical shading elements give the facades a shared rhythm. Glass and solid surfaces introduce variations in transparency, while recessed entrances mark points of access. Continuous vertical lines unify the separate groups; differences in height, volume and courtyard configuration give each part its own spatial character.
