Within the cultural fabric of Miao settlements, the museum reconstructs a field of relationships: rice paddies as productive landscape, batik as material culture, and drifting smoke as the trace of daily life. These elements form a quiet, self-contained order rather than a literal representation of a village.

Memory and belonging are approached as spatial conditions. The resulting world is inward and almost utopian—distant, yet persistently present—holding cultural continuity in the relationship between production, making and ordinary life.
